Okay, so there is a Tarot section. That pretty much tells you that I read Tarot cards, I think.
I used to work as a professional tarot card reader, it wasn’t the most glamorous job, but in the end I think I helped a lot of people and I hope I gave them insight on their lives.
I am self trained. I have read the books but never really paid attention to them. I picked up a deck one day and whammo it hit me that I didn’t need a book. The cards tell you what is up, listen to them – the books provide a guideline but they cannot tell you about the person in front of you.
My deck is so worn out, it lost it’s glossy feeling long ago. They are my cards and I travel with them everywhere I go. I mean, when I go out of town that is.
The reaction I get from friends or people when I tell them I read tarot cards is always amusing. Some people get that look in their eyes like “Can you tell me what I am thinking?” then there are others that get a look of fear on their faces like, “Can you tell me what I am thinking?” and of course then the people that don’t believe in such things generally skoff and do their best to chop it down.
It’s always a treat. Once I got my cards out on an airplane and the woman across the aisle got really freaked out and asked the attendant to ask me to put them away.
Hmm, I never requested that when I’ve seen folks read the bible on a plane.
As I said, it’s amusing. I still read cards but infrequently. I will happily read for anyone that asks, but I read on my own time now, not theirs!
